Police have issued advice to fans attending Saturday’s derby between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion, birminghammail.co.uk has reported.
The local rivals meet in a 12:30pm kick-off at Villa Park for the first leg of their Championship play-off semi final.
The vital clash is sold out with tickets for all areas, both home and away, having been snapped up.
Via their Aston Villa police account on Twitter, West Midlands Police have provided the following advice regarding travelling to the ground and the areas around it which are blocked.
“Following on from the many meetings over the past few days, some information for fans travelling to Villa Park on Saturday…
“Fans travelling to Witton station from New Street there are two specials pre-match – first is at 11:15 and second special is 11:56. This only stops at Witton.
“After the game there are normal service trains from Witton to New Street at 14:17, 14:29, 14:47 and 14:59. All these are normal service trains and stop at Aston too. There are also two specials fom Witton to New Street direct at 14:37 and 15:08.
“Fans travelling back towards Walsall have normal services at 13:37, 14:07 and 14:37. There will be no restrictions at Witton station pre-match and at this moment in time there are no restrictions post match.
